Booking, payment and cancellation

Version : 2026-10-12

These are the operational rules for Répétitions DMA. Applicable statutory rights and separate enrolment contracts remain reserved.

1. Details and pricing

Dates and times are Montréal time (America/Toronto); amounts are Canadian dollars. The basket shows each session, included/charged minutes, subtotal, taxes and total before confirmation.

Current settings: extra coaching $100/hour before tax; studio practice $20/hour before tax. Configured GST/QST appear in the basket. The verified price for your booking takes precedence over a general example. Included allocations depend on the record and season.

2. Included hours

Each dancer’s solo and each duo/trio have separate balances. A group session uses the shared balance once; its booking creator pays any extra amount.

Ordinary independent practice does not reduce coaching hours. Studio 3 currently includes 60 practice minutes per Monday–Sunday week. Choreographers enabled for their own solo have one seasonal balance across studios, currently seven hours; extra time uses the studio rate and does not also receive Studio 3 weekly free time.

3. Notice and confirmation

New sessions must be booked and, when necessary, paid at least 24 hours ahead. Offered times account for availability and conflicts.

Free/included sessions confirm after final basket confirmation. Chargeable sessions remain unconfirmed until verified payment. No zero-dollar payment is needed at Stripe.

4. Temporary unpaid hold

A slot and its minutes are held for at most one hour from booking creation, or until the earlier 24-hour booking cutoff. The precise deadline appears in the app.

If payment is unfinished, scheduled processing expires the booking and releases the holds. You may abandon it earlier; an unpaid amount does not require a refund. Payment received after expiry does not recreate a booking and must be assessed for refund.

5. Ordinary cancellation and statutory rights

Current automatic processing releases hours and initiates eligible paid refunds when cancellation occurs at least 24 hours before the session. In other ordinary cases, the app may retain hours and not start a refund automatically.

This operational rule does not limit more favourable statutory rights. For cancellation of a course contract, a service not supplied or another statutory right, contact DMA in writing even if the app says the cancellation is late. Service classification and contract rules must be assessed; this page does not assert that the 24-hour rule governs all course contracts.

6. Choreographer-proposed change

A choreographer may propose one to five times with a reason. The original booking stays protected until the dancer or authorized parent chooses. Acceptance preserves duration, agreed price and included hours after availability is rechecked.

If none fits, the app permits cancellation with restoration of hours and a full refund of eligible paid amounts, including within 24 hours in this situation. A proposal is not a confirmed replacement booking.

7. Refund processing

Eligible Stripe refunds are initiated against the original payment. Posting time depends on Stripe and the financial institution. “Refund processing” does not establish that the bank has already credited the money.

For delay or failure, contact DMA with the booking reference. Statutory deadlines and rights remain applicable. Written requests may be sent to ecole@dansemodeaction.ca.

8. Messages and records

A cancellation message is optional. It may be shared with concerned participants, authorized parents and administration. Cancelled bookings remain in history without occupying the default calendar.

Keep the summary, confirmations and Stripe records. Notification choices do not alter session status. Contact DMA for a copy or record correction.
